About Clayton

Clayton Kennington is the Founder of 52 Management and brings more than 20 years of experience in overseeing the operations of the firm to his role as Managing Partner. Throughout his career, Clayton has acquired, sold, and financed more than $275 million in transactions of the family’s legacy assets in the office, flex, retail and industrial asset classes. In addition, Clayton has approximately 2.5 million square feet of commercial assets under management (49% family-owned and 51% third party) covering approximately 70 buildings throughout Texas and the Midwest.

Prior to 52 Commercial, Clayton worked as a senior associate at Ernst & Young-Kenneth Leventhal in the firm’s real estate consulting group, working throughout Latin America and Asia with publicly-traded REITS and private equity firms on their acquisition and disposition strategies.. 

Clayton earned a BA from Washington and Lee University and an MBA from The University of Texas at Austin.

Community and Family

Clayton is active with The Urban Land Institute – Dallas/Fort Worth Chapter, serving on the Industrial Council. He has also served as a member of the Board of Trustees of Highland Park United Methodist Church; Dad’s Club President of Bradfield Elementary School; and is a Wood Badge recipient for Boy Scouts of America.

Clayton and his wife have five children and spend a good portion of their free time managing multiple schedules for each child. Clayton also enjoys traveling, golfing, cooking and excercising.
